Truth and Reconciliation Week 2025 is a transformative five-day journey for students (grades 1-12), educators, and the broader community to engage with the poignant history and enduring spirit of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. 

Explore interactive workshops, witness the profound “The Gifts We Carry” youth empowerment gathering, engage in meaningful dialogues, and contribute to our collective path toward reconciliation.

During Truth and Reconciliation Week 2025, we invite you to join our daily Lunch and Learn webinars – an immersive experience to UN-learn the myths of colonial history in Canada.

These 50-minute sessions will begin at 12:00pm CDT each day. All sessions will have simultaneous English-French and ASL interpretation.

To assist teachers, we’re offering Taking Truth to Action, a week-long educational program open to all schools across Canada, that supports free, age-appropriate, education curriculums for students in grades 1–12. Join us for an immersive experience to UN-learn the myths of colonial history in Canada.

Hybrid Sessions

For Teachers & Students (Grades 1-12)

Hybrid sessions will be hosted in different regions in Canada where an expert matter speaker will be joined by a small group of in-person students for a 40 to 60-minute session that may include a lesson/presentation and/or activity and open Q&A. Classrooms can watch and engage with these sessions virtually and participate in the Q&A.

Remembering the Children commemorates the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Participate on September 30th, as we memorialize the children lost to the residential school system and honour Survivors and their families.

Bezhig miigwan calls upon us to see each Survivor coming to the NCTR as a single eagle feather and to show those Survivors the same respect and attention an eagle feather deserves. It also teaches we are all in this together — we are all one, connected, and it is vital to work together to achieve reconciliation.
